That's right. I like my 250D, or I wouldn't be interested in a parts tractor. Engines are fine, it's the rest of the tractor that can be problematic. Would be very helpful to know why that one was parked so many years ago, but I'd be skeptical of whatever the seller claims, if it "was running".
Mitsubishi dealers, like who sold my tractor new, never sold enough to stay in business. Remains a problem for current owners like me.
There may be better support for the newer gray market Mitsubishis, I have no experience with them. Imported, I think, from VietNam and advertised as "reconditioned". The one dealer near me that was doing that no longer is. Said they would get me a headlamp for my 250D, but far as I could tell never bothered to order it. Told me for 4 months "hasn't come in yet". NOT a place I would ever buy a tractor.
Sleazeball dealers you can do without. This one changes what they offer ever couple of years. Need a part for what they sold you before the change? Too bad.
Satoh owners don't seem to have these problems. If you want to stay real low cost. I don't know how much they work their tractors, or for that matter, how much you will.
I bumped into a gas standard tractor (2 WD) for my machinist. Ran great, decent rubber, $600. He wasn't looking for a tractor, but at that price... A better choice for you, no?
