Several Parishes still have open range at least in some wards, most of my Parish voted for a stock law 30 years ago but there is still two wards that don't have a stock law, they don't have any paved roads either. I was traveling the California coast road highway 1 north in 2007 and somewhere either before or after crossing the Russian River we crossed a cattle gap and there were cattle grazing on the side of the road, never expected that in a million years.
