Super MTA

I have a Super MTA. The tractor runs ok, the tin is very good and the rubber is excellent. It leaks every fluid except antifreeze and the TA is bad. I have used it for the last few years to mow /condition 30 acres of hay. The live PTO is great, if it wasn't for that I would trade it for a regular M. If I decide to improve the old girl should I take on fixing the TA? I know all the leaks most be fixed before an cosmetic work can be done and all of that is quite a lot of work. How importnat is an operable TA to a collector? How interesting are SMTAs to collectors? Never tried restoration just drive old Farmalls.Would appreciate any advice and answers.
