Lopren, don't mean to argue, but if his tractor is fine in reverse then the pump/powershift is working fine... believe me i have been into the insides of these tractors more than i care to mention, my 5140 has been completely stripped down as far as the powershift tranny and hydraulic system goes due to a fault that our Case dealer couldn't trace, but the tractor wouldn't move under load and has no steering when another hydraulic function was being used... (the pump/compensator where fine - i know cause i paid for new ones Case dealer said they failed the tests in their manual - which they did... but not because they were faulty... and the fault still remained).
I fail to see how swapping two solenoids and relays around could possibly harm the transmission. All the relays do is provide power to the solenoids, which provide oil to the clutch packs...
