Guys I am not a Jesse Ventura fan but Chris Kyle is not all snow white clean either. IF you research the suit you will fine out it was more over the statement he said Jesse Ventura said about the seals. The statement that was not true was "The SEALs deserved to lose some". This caused Jesse Ventura to lose sponsors, endorsement deals and actual work. It was proven in court that Jesse Ventura NEVER Said the statement. The long and short of it was Chris Kyle made it up. Jesse Ventura was a Seal and has always supported the Seals.
Chris Kyle also told many people, and some reporters, that just after his return from Iraq in 2009, he was carjacked by two men at a gas station on a remote Texas highway. Chris asked the men if he could reach into his truck to get his keys, and as he did he pulled a pistol from his waistband and shot both men in the chest from under his armpit. The two men were killed instantly. Chris called the police and waited for them while leaning against his truck. The police came, Chris handed them a phone number to call at the Pentagon. The cops called the number, and the people at the Pentagon told the cops that Chris Kyle was a war hero and a Navy SEAL. The police also went inside and watched the gas station surveillance video of the incident. The cops then let Chris go on his way. Chris claimed he got emails from cops all across the country after the incident thanking him for "keeping the streets clean". Great story. Except none of it is true. Not a single word.
Chris Kyle also made the statement "That I fired on looters in Katrina". That never happened either.
Now Chris Kyle was a great Seal. HE also had an ENORMUS EGO!!!! This is part of what got him killed. Yes he was trying to help a fellow but put himself in a no win situation. It was like he did not think he could be shot/killed.
I hate to see a movie made about a person that has such a spotty history. The reason being is that too many people will believe EVERYTHING they see in this movie whether it is true or not. Watching this movie will be the only "version" of the time frame that will actually be believed form now on.
I will not go to the movie. Period!!! I do not trust Hollywood to get anything right about anyone that served in modern times. Mr. Eastwood is far from a angle either. So I am sure that things were made to make the movie bigger than life. No one ever will actually know what is true or what is fiction.

Today's Featured Article - Grain Threshing in the Early 40's - by Jerry D. Coleman. How many of you can sit there and say that you have plowed with a mule? Well I would say not many, but maybe a few. This story is about the day my Grandfather Brown (true name) decided along with my parents to purchase a new Ford tractor. It wasn't really new except to us. The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
