In my neighborhood you can pick out the places that used the same builders for the barn or house as on my place from the early 1900s. They look the same, same blueprints and materials.
No different these days I suppose.
The builder went bankrupt as they build this house, so we might have the last one of that style. Dad was a little kid, he always said his folks had to pay twice for the house was a rough deal. Mechanics lean, his folks got stuck with the bill after paying the contractor the first time. So the house cost an extra $4000 to pay the materials twice.....
