During my travels I have found a J.I. Case Agri King 870 Demonstrator Serial Number 8659863 and am inquiring if this tractor is a real Demonstrator tractor or a Clone that someone made by painting this tractor black with dessert tan fenders and put Demonstrator decals on it.
I am interested in buying this tractor to add to my J.I. Case Agri King collection if it is a real Demonstrator. Will someone let me know if Serial Number 8659863 is truly a Demonstrator.
If the serial number is not useful to determine if this tractor is a real Demonstrator what other things will indicate if it is a real Demonstrator.
This fender tractor is in fair condition: • Complete tractor needs repainted and new decals installed • Front fiberglass nose piece is damaged (like most fiberglass nose pieces usually are) • Fenders are slightly damaged • Rear Tires 18.4 – 34 that are about 50% Tread Life • Front Tires need replaced • No cab installed • 5,000 Engine Hours (if the hour meter is correct) • History not known (but does not appear to have been stored inside most of its life)
If this tractor is a real Demonstrator what is it worth in fair condition.
If this tractor is not a real Demonstrator what is it worth in fair condition.
