I forget what i was charged. I do have a horror story about it. This place is local, as far as i have heard they been around for somewhat of a long time and do good work. I took my allis chalmers 190xt head and all new parts except for the seats. I asked them if they needed any specs. They said no they have the specs for it. Week or so later they called me said it was done. I go there and asked if everything went well. The guy said yeah other than we had to do a lot of grinding on the valves to get the correct angle. The original tractor comes with 45 degree angle both intake and exhaust. When you rebuild one set (forget which) is still 45 and the other set is changed to 30 degrees. This info is in the service manual and the kit i bought was correct (i checked). So anyhow i said holy smackrel andy you ground all the new 30 degree angle valves to 45 . He said yeah thats what was in there and thats what we put back. The other guy that owns the place chimed in and said don't know why they would change it to 30 a 45 seals better. I was kinda torqued by now but i held my tongue paid the bill and left.

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
