I am a full believer in "why farm half when you can Farmall"!! BUT, I have more JD's the Farmalls, and I L O V E my Ferguson TO-30.
Not a fan of AC tractors, but would kill for an All Crop Combine. I think that every company had pros and cons, and at the time there really was no "perfect" tractor...
