Glad you made it there and back in one piece.
I have a "bad" ? habit of being to trusting of folks. Been pretty lucky so far. Times are a changing though and not for the better ! Wasn't too long ago wife, daughter and I went to look at a Ford Ranger that was on Craigslist. Ended up in a rough looking part of town then when we pulled in there was a bunch of guys gathered around. Just then thought ran thru my head (well this looks like a craigslist killer set up) Lucky they seemed to be ok folks ? Even though the guy selling his truck was not totally honest in describing it ! We just looked the truck over and then left. Way things are today might be a good idea to go back to the old ways of when someone called "shotgun" they actually sat next to you with a shotgun ! Be cautious out there ! Maybe next time schedule these such trips when someone like your Dad can come along. My Dad used to come with me on most of my excursions. Still does sometimes but I don't get out much lately.

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
