: : Well, I did it -- got my 9N stuck for the first time. I was clearing brush and found a mud hole I did not know existed. : : I'm sunk in nearly to the axle -- I can't go forward and I can't go backwards. The mud hole just laughs when I chain the 9N to my 4x2 F150 and try to pull it out that way. : : Any tricks to try before I go calling neighbors with bigger tractors? : Call your neighbors. It is easier than doing anything else posted, and cheaper than getting a tow truck or breaking something on your truck. Buy them dinner or return the favor someday. This is the best advice. Our neighborhood is good for this kind of thing. We help each other remove snow, share know how, share tools and what ever comes up. If you have a neighbor helping, you are less likely to try something stupid or perhaps he or she will stop you from doing something stupid. I've been stuck befor. We winched my tractor out little by little. Took our time and enjoyed the success when we got it done, no worse for wear. Good luck. P.S. We had Henry Weinharts root beer. I've gotten to like it better than beer.
