I have one and it has worked pretty well for our Blue Heeler. When first got her we used to chain her out. Well for a small dog she is strong ! In soft ground she would keep yanking the chain and pull the stake out and all. Last one was a 3 foot rebar ! That caused a lot of problems as she ran off and got hung up. Lucky when I called her name I could hear her bark and find her. As soon as the weather got nice that year we put the in ground fence in. Been about 10 or so years now. I have more trouble with collars not holding up. My most reliable collar has been a heavy duty old model one. But even now I go thru about a battery a month as she has started to wise up and just let it beep and drain them down. I wish I just had a real fence up now ! Added bonus to a real fence is it would keep my dog in and more importantly everyone else's dogs OUT !
