About 30 years ago, I had a patch of blackberries along the driveway that I wanted to get rid of. So before going to work on one fine summer day, I sprayed them with Roundup. Got home that night, and there was a nice big bowl of blackberries on the table. Seems that the babysitter had taken the 3 kids out and picked them, of course eating plenty along the way.
I called the Poison Control Center, and they hooked me up with someone at Monsanto. They said their testing had found no toxicity in animals or humans, and told of a 3 year old girl in Nebraska who had drank about a half cup of the 41% concentrate, with no ill effect. And my kids all turned out fine.
Sure hated to throw away that bowl of berries- it had all the makins of a good pie.
