I read the directions on both tractor and manual. Have only used 10w40. The man at the hyd repair shop recommended using hyd fluid and I told him NO WAY. 10w40 is 10w winter, 40 in summer. I need to allow hyd to warm up before using it. A stiff Power steering reminds just how stiff the oil is. I think 15w would be too much for my winters.
Just got back from using terramite for an hour, no fan, oil temps around 125 F. I may not need a fan in winter, just the hot summer. I need to install a temp guage some how to keep an eye on things
