My spreaders deck has finally disintegrated. Surprisingly the steel is mostly ok...just a couple cross members to replace. The sides are good and the apron slats /angle and chains are fine with a bit of time on the press straightening.
What should I use to re deck this? 3/4" PT ply? The original was 3/4" ply with uhmw or some plastic / vinyl over it all...both sides actually. Unfortunately its 5' widex about 16'...I'll need to join a 1' length on one side and join the plywood on a cross member.
It looked like the old deck was glued down to the cross member with building adhesive...there were no fasteners???
