Thanks to everyone for your advice! I went up the hill to ask for my neighbor's help just as he happened to be driving his tractor down to do some mowing.

To make a short story even shorter, he had me pulled out in less than 10 minutes!

I'm off to get him and his wife a gift certificate to the local eatry as thanks (he doesn't drink beer and our kitchen is torn apart this week getting painted and the floor redone, so dinner at out house is out of the question!)
