: I have found an old farmall in a pasture that looks like it was there since 1940. I can't identify if it is a F-20 or a F30. It looks fairly complete with steel wheels. Does anyone know how to distinguish between a 20 and a 30 at a distance? : Also has anyone had any experience in rebuilding a 20 or 30 engine? Are parts available and such? What do you think it might be worth? It appears complete and is rust color. : Thanks, K.Ray If you can find the serial number plate (My shop manual for F12/14/20/30 says it's on the tool box) it should say F20 or F30 on it. Also, F20 serial numbers appear to start with "FA" and F30's start with "FB" Other than that, I can't find any reference to major differences, other than the F30 is somewhat larger dimensionally. That would probably be hard to pick out unless they were sitting side-by-side. This is all "Book-Larnin'", so someone with direct experience may be able to provide better information.
