An accident can happen so quick! I know this for a fact September 25, 2014 I was round bailing the last of the wet hay to be wraped before I went to work. I was in the field by my self when two of the belts overlaped I shut the bailer off and cleared the hay that caused the overlap I climbed back on the tractor and started the bailer back up. The belts still did't track right so with the bailer still running I stuck my hand under the edge of the belt to try to move it over. Then it happened something grabed my right hand and pulled it around two rolls. It took me a moment to realize what had happened then I realized that my cell phone was in my left pocket I tryed calling my grandparrents who live on the farm but got no answer so I called my brother who works 7 miles away and told him I was stuck and needed the tractor and bailer shutoff I hung up with him and called 911 the dispacher did a great job keeping me calm my brother was home 4 minuites into the 911 call (he might have been speeding) the local fire department came and didn't want to use the jaws of life because of pinching me worse, they took the bailer apart and life flighted me out of the field I spent more than four weeks in the hospital over the course of the next month and a half I had seven surgerys and lost my right hand and part of my forearm. Sorry its so long I just wanted to share so it might stop someone from doing the same dumb thing that I did.
