Your A must not be a 45 model or it will have the place in the bell housing for the starter. Best bet is change to a newer bell housing ring on the flywheel then use factory setup for the rest of the charging system. You could try a starter-generator where the gen mounts on the left side of the engine but keeping belt tight will be a problem as the fan assy isnt built for the tension. But you can replace the fan assy with a new one that has bearings it would work for a time but the pulley on eht fan will sooner or later give out due to th way they are built. Best is get the parts and go original it will last forever.
