I have never swallowed any gasoline but have had it in my mouth many, many times. Helps to have a coke handy to rinse mouth out. I always remember a customer who had a 303 combine and ran out of gas. Could not get it restarted, out in the field. I told him to see if it had a hand lever on the fuel pump but that was too much for him to figure out. Told him to take off the gas line at carb and suck it up. No way he says. So I drive out, no hand pump so I sucked it up for him. That was in the leaded gas era. Actually I think diesel fuel tastes worse. Trick is though to have a long enough hose when siphoning that you never even taste it.
