I used to work for a cadet dealer. Without tearing it apart we would usually give an estimate of $500.00. The cub flat rate manual
allows about 11 hrs labor, at 35.00 per hr that's
385.00. piston costs about 80.00, rod 45.00
bore cyl. 25.00, regrind crank 30.00 gasket set
25.00. A lot will depend how bad it is. If you just
have rings put in, make sure you change oil at least 4 times in the first 40 hrs of use.First change after 2 hrs!!
