The wind has kicked up already, sky is not so dark and gray, the usual and fitting end for all these kinds of snow storms. Wood stove is stoked since before dawn, garage and my corner near the stove is 80 deg F, floor above its 1 deg warmer than the thermostat, so its keeping the furnace off. Headed out to clear with the walk behind, just another foot of snow, of the dry powdery type, then load up the wheelbarrow for some extra wood, rest of the day will be indoors, no argument there. 10F is not all that bad, you get acclimated by this time of the winter, but nothing gets you used to those bitter cold winds.
It is on the run, sun comes out the snow melts now, and there was less showing yesterday, well until this. Just a minor set back, calander don't lie think green and remember the scent of freshly turned top soil LOL !
The deer are sick of it too, yesterday a 200lb doe or buck given antler shed has taken place or should have, stood under my pine tree, I walked right past it, went to the neighbors to walk the dog, came out with the dog, deer just stood there and watched me the whole time, just did not want to wade out into that snow again. Does had a lot of fat on this year and this is why.
