keep the current 6 volt lights and put a resister/voltage restrictor in circuit at light switch. Ford dashboard light restrictor for the earlier than computer systems, Chrysler starter wire to coil resister block or radio shack variable voltage regulator or the little block resistor/surge protector for some computer systems. Quickest, easy way.
