gasser or propaner 930s will start in any weather lol ..I have a worn out 930 diesel that will start easily with glow plug heater down to the hi teens ..like jon said 9-1030s are tuf ,, that goes for 830s also .. mine wore out 2 farmers, andis workin on wearin down a 3rd , ME,Lol .. and never got overhauled as far as I know unless it was done 40 yrs ago..powersteering assist may need a new belt and or pulley ,, brakes are easy to maintain once you know how to do it ,, usually check and adjust them at oil change time ..simple to change out IF They EVER Wear Out ..pto clutches and hydro pump is simple unbolt on the case .. if you are used to deeres , then you know most guys have to see the dealer for brakes , power steering motors and hydraulic pto repairs ,,case is built simple for on farm repairs ,, but , lol,the dear dealer will replace the word simple with PRIMATIVE ,, and they are partly correct ..I can always cobble up a ol case with a bandage repair to get it safely back home .but , .I have taken a hot hydraulic oil bath from my 4020 powershift from a broken line under the dash and had to walk home in oily clothes and leave the 4020 set along the road...btw ,, some of these old cases can be cold natured , power cells , injector pump timing and well tuned injectors , proper valve settings all are important for cold starting to occur,,as far as price .. imho , for what you will pay for 1 Nice jd 4020 , you can buy 2 or more Nice case 930s of equal power .. at least that's how it is around here
