Grill Screen and Value

I noticed that some John Deere's have the screen on the grill painted yellow, on my MT it looks like it was green, do some people pain the screens yellow to add a little character??? I also notice a Model "M" in a paper for sell. It looked like it was restored and painted, looked in good condition but it was to far a way to go look at but they wanted around $2700.00 is it worth it?? About how much would an "MT" be worth, I was told around $1500 without being painted or fixed up as long as it ran good... is that about right??? And BTW, what is a John Deere 40V Thanks in advance
