When I did the ones off my super 55 Oliver in 1999. I removed the tires. Set up an electrolysis bucket and let it do it thing. I had to rotate the rims around several times to get all of it. It took two weeks or so. Once it looked real clean I sent it to the powder coaters. NO regrets as they still look real nice. I also put tubes in so when I add the liquid its not going to come in contact with the rim again and I also when out and got me some more cast weights. Right now I have two internal and two outside cast weights per side and no liquid.
