I have two JD Gators. The older 4x2 one I bought when it was two years old and had 125 hours on it. I gave $2700 for it. It now has 3870 hours on it. I have replaced the drive belt twice and the clutch weights ones. Only fuel and oil besides that. It is run every single day. It is much faster doing chores with it in use.
I also have a JD 825I with the full cab. I found it wrecked and repaired it. I only have around $6000 in it. It is much nicer in the winter as you have a cab with heat. The 4x4 is nice for the spring time mud checking cows and calves.
So I think mine are well worth the money. Now is a new one that is all decked out what I would want on the farm??? No. They are too high of priced. It is the extras that cost you the big money.
