I looked in my Ford Tractor shop manual and on page 19 the picture shows the top of the block with the cylinders numbered from front of engine #1 being on the bell housing side. The manifold is on the left looking from the rear of the tractor. This is why I was concerned about my 51 Super A. Thanks for all the information.
