Well actually while the JD's came from the factory new with white faced gauges there was a period in time when the only gauges available for them were from John Deere and these happened to be the ones with black faces. So in reality how could these be incorrect as they were a factory approved replacement part ? All this happened years before you could buy white face gauges from the aftermarket that were Licensed to say John Deere on them.
