You print the label, attach it to the package, and then take the package to the post office or your nearest FedEx drop off point. Only pitfall is if your printer runs out of ink or otherwise fails to print. That glitch can also be worked around, but it is a headache.
If you are going to use the online label printing, you really do need a scale to weigh the package.
If you know the weight, and are honest, the price of shipping is about the same as just going to the post office.
