I just could not resist buying another one. LOL It is a MFWD and I knew the tractor very well until four years ago. I had done all of the service work on it since new for a former customer.
The prior owner called me a few weeks back telling me his old tractors was for sale again.
So I went and looked at it. It has some issues now. The left front MFWD casting has the steering cylinder mounting ear broke off. And the left front steering cylinder is only half there. The ram is missing.
Also it is not shifting into 13th correctly. It will shift from 14th to 13th correctly but not 12th to 13th. I really looked long and hard an even took pressure readings. They all are correct. I am guessing/hoping that the shift valve has an internal issue.
To the good: The tractor has 85% Firestone rear tires. and the cab is still in good shape. It starts and runs fine too.
So I wrote the check and hauled it home today. The owner wanted a picture so I took one with my "stupid" phone. I forward them to my wife and she sends them to my computer. I will email him a picture of it leaving his place.
I think I will keep this one around if the issues are as minor as I think they are. It only has 4800 original hours. I almost bought it when it sold the last time but I just did not want to spend that much at that time. I am getting it a good bit cheaper now. So even if I have to spend some time and parts on it I should be OK.

Today's Featured Article - Product Review: Black Tire Paint - by Staff. I have been fortunate in that two of my tractors have had rear tires that were in great shape when I bought the tractor. My model "H" even had the old style fronts with plenty of tread. My "L" fronts were mismatched Sears Guardsman snow tires, which I promptly tossed. Well, although these tires were in good shape as far as tread was concerned, they looked real sad. All were flat, but new tubes fixed that. In addition to years and years of scuffing and fading, they had paint splattered on
