Not really a rant..... ;-)
When I watch a youtube video of a tractor doing chores, be it baling hay or plowing, it would be nice to just get the sweet sound of the tractor/machinery alone!
What I don't want to hear is some song blaring away, or the sound of a golf cart or 4 wheeler's motor covering up the tractor/machinery's sound while following the tractor.
To me - the sound of the tractor laboring and or the baler, etc working hard adds very much to the video.
I also don't want to hear some a bunch of guys talking or trying to narrate!
I'd like some of the camera persons to just hold still - LOL! And if at all possible, focus the attention on the tractor/machinery - not some dog walking across the field, or something else.
Watching an old IH diesel (or another fine piece of old iron) working hard IMHO just sounds GREAT - nothing else needed!
What drives you nuts with these youtube farming videos.
Btw - talk is cheap. I'll be posting some videos this Summer of me a mid the boys making some hay. Hopefully I'll get it right!

Today's Featured Article - A Question for Dads This recent topic from the Tractor Talk discussion board is being highlighted because it is an awesome display of the caliber of individuals that have made this site their own. The young person asking questions received positive feedback and advice from total strangers who "told it like it is" with the care many reserve for their own kids. The advice is timeless... so although it isn't necessarily antique tractor related, it will be prominently displayed in our archives to honor those who have the courage to ask and those who have the courage to respond in an honest, positive manner.
