Don't beat yourself up. I have a lot of years of seat time but I took my right tires off the edge of the drive this winter. About a 4-5' steep slope there. Heavy blade on the back, loader on the front. It was REALLY close to going over. I said a prayer, cut the wheel downhill and drove it into the ditch. Once in there, I dropped the blade and used the loader to curl my way up the slope again. THEN I chained to the blade and pulled it up. I was not happy with self that day.
