You need to level your mower deck. It is not supposed to run on the deck/gauge wheels. IF it is tipped too far forward then it will eat deck belts. The deck should only be tipped an 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch forward. This is controlled but the arms that hold the front of the deck up.
Also check all the deck linkage. If the holes are getting worn then the deck will rock side to side as well as tip front to back. If you have allowed it to run on the deck wheels all of the time then I will bet that all of the deck linkage is well worn.
The deck is supposed to be mainly carried by the tractor with the deck wheels only raising the deck over high spots. It is not to be running on the deck wheels all of the time. That puts a lot of stress on everything under the tractor.
When everything set correctly a deck belt will last years.
