I bought my 2002 Chevy 3500, 8.1L, Allison, 4x4, locking diff, etc. with 32,000 on it for $12,500. FIVE years ago now. The banker thought I was nuts paying that much for it then, even though it was below book value.
Just dropped another $120 on it for u-joints last week though. I only put about 2500 miles on it a year. Sitting is worse than driving it, but it only gets 8 miles per gallon.
