That's how it used to be for most of Indiana until a few years ago. Most of Indiana didn't change its time either, which meant that half of the year we were on Eastern Time with Michigan and Ohio, and half of the year on Central Time with Illinois. It was great. Half of the time was inconvenient, and half of the time was perfect. Can't make everyone happy all the time, but used to make everyone happy half of the time. THEN...it happened. I don't know who ever came up with the idea of DST, but if I ever meet that guy...I'm going to punch him square in the nose because now I'm screwed up ALL of the time instead of only half of the time.
