I refuse to run tire air pressure at what the vehicle mfg says. I run at what it says on the tire. A little rougher ride? Yes but, better mileage and longer tread life. On my pickup right now are a set of B F Goodrich All Terrain with almost 80,000 miles and I checked them last week, they still have 7/32 tread.
