I have found ebay works well for even larger items. I have shipped a few skidsteers across the country that someone bought from me on ebay sight unseen. Most of my ebay sales come from people 2-5 hours away. They see it on ebay,contact me, then hop in the truck and drive over to see it. We do the deal in person and its never actually an ebay transaction. I have sold around 50 skidsteers. Sales are almost exactly 1/3 ebay, 1/3 craigslist,1/3 local farm paper...
