Allan: I am sorry your are having an major repair bill. I have found that when a filter plugs your better off to stop sooner than later. I hope your 88 series is not like the JD tractors in that when they are ran that way fine metal will migrate through a plugged up filter and get into the entire hydraulic system. I have had to remove and rebuild the main hydraulic components( main pump, steering control motor, etc.) after one has been ran that way.
Are the used parts for the 88 series hard to find??? They were not that many built due to the bad farm economy of the early 1980s.
