D-14 - How wide of disk?

I will be borrowing a disk in the next couple of weeks to work 6 to 7 acres in preparation for seeding to fescue grass this fall. My options are a 6 foot three point disk and a 11 foot hydraulic wheel disk. Is a D-14 which I am aware has about 28 HP enough of a tractor to pull the 11 footer? I would prefer to use the 11 footer as my three point is rather weak. The three point is not a conversion kit. It was contructed by a shade tree mechanic before I bought it. I hope he kept his day job.
