I never mentioned that this is a theory I will say it's a fact.
Electricity only flows one direction until it's reversed as in AC. This is caused by the way we have to generate it. It happens so fast that we really don't think about it.
If you could slow the cycles down far enough meaning very low RPMS as spinning a magnet inside a stator, would your AC volt meter be able to read the voltage or would you have to switch the meter to DC? If it's set on DC it would read Positive on one wave and Negative on the other.
There's not two kinds of electricity out there. It's just the way we produce it that changes thus having us to give it two names describing its character.
It's kind of like windchill. 75% of the people believe it's a temperature but it's not. It's a calculated formula on how fast heat is transferred or cooled down compared to still air temp and no wind. There's not two temperatures out there. A hot bowl of cereal will cool down on its own but you wouldn't want to sit there until it cools so you blow on it to cool it faster but it will never get any colder than the air temp that you're blowing on it. This is another easy fact that people have so much trouble understanding...
Sometimes we can look at things too deeply when we shouldn't be.

Today's Featured Article - Hydraulics - Cylinder Anatomy - by Curtis von Fange. Let’s make one more addition to our series on hydraulics. I’ve noticed a few questions in the comment section that could pertain to hydraulic cylinders so I thought we could take a short look at this real workhorse of the circuit. Cylinders are the reason for the hydraulic circuit. They take the fluid power delivered from the pump and magically change it into mechanical power. There are many types of cylinders that one might run across on a farm scenario. Each one could take a chapter in
