The way I did it on truck Ross boxes input shaft seals,was to cap the outlet fitting,after removing the snap ring,and starting and instantly shutting off the engine.You have to cover the seal with a rag.So maybe the air pressure idea would work.Also you could try drilling a very small hole in the metal part of the seal,screw in a small sheet metal screw,and pry it out .YOU MUST be careful not to mar the shaft or the bore with the screw.Mark
