I never assume the auctioneer is playing fair, I simply figure out what I am willing to pay for something and when it goes over it, I stop bidding. Some days you win, some days you do not. As cheap as I am, most of the time I go home empty, but when I do win the bid, I feel like I won big. Not to hijack this thread, but rrlund, are you going to the clare yoder auction on the 18th?

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
