Well cost effective went out the window long ago. Lol. I bought this as a basket case and only had about 300.00 in it sitting in my driveway after all the trading was done. The heads got way more expensive than I was hoping since all 3 were cracked. I knew one was bad, but hoped the others were good. They were able to fix one, but with rebuilding and replacing the other 2 I have about $1100.00 just in head work. Add $1200.00 for the engine kit and now the cost of the camshaft and gears and clutch. By the time I'm all done, with tires and paint I'll have about what a nice restored one is worth in my area in it. This is more about the trip than the destination anyway. I just wanted a 1030 and a project to do with my boys. At this point I'm determined to bring it back to life pretty much reguardless of the cost. I will say that at least near me you won't touch a 9/1030 that runs for $2500.00, most are $4-6,000.00 with poor tires.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
