I mow one pass with my zero turn lawnmower on each side of my fence so when I bush hog it makes it easier . After making my one pass on the zero turn behind my pasture , stopped the blade then I cut across the middle of the pasture. The grass was about 1 foot tall just even with the floorboard of the mower. About half way across a small King snake was sunning on top of the grass and ended up on my feet. I started kicking and flailing one hand slipped from the handle and the mower took a sharp right hand turn and nearly threw me off. Luckily the seat safety switch shut it down. I don't know who was more scared me or the snake.
