: Several years ago the clutch stuck on my Super A. At that time I was able to free it up by pulling it a few feet with it in gear and with the clutch pedal depressed. Today I started it for the first time since the end of snow plowing season and the clutch is stuck. I have tried freeing it the same way as before with no luck. What causes a clutch to be fine, sitting month after month for years without sticking, then sticking in a period of 3 or 4 months ? I'm thinking of getting a buddy to try pulling me on some pavement with his one ton truck, any warnings? Is there a better way? I suppose I can always split the tractor. John John, I had the same problem with my Super A. I tried all the ususal tricks to no avail. Finally split the tractor and the disk came free from the flywheel rather easily, BUT after it was apart I noticed an inspection hole in the side of the flywheel, which can be seen from the inspection opening in the bottom of the bellhousing. (You'll have to rotate the engine until it's visible.) I do believe that you can shove a straight tip screwdriver or similar tool in there and pry the disk from the flywheel. Of course the clutch pedal would have to be depressed while you do this. Good luck. John McDevitt
