Happy to hear you found something. I was forced to look for a job when I was 50. after spending 32 years with one company. Was fortunate enough to find work, but the pay was not that good. Since this happens with more frequency than ever, there is one thing to keep in mind. Many community colleges offer courses in industrial maintenance, and other fields in which there is quite a demand for good help. Most offer day and night classes. So if there is any subject that someone has been thinking about, for whatever reason, there is no time like the present to take advantage of the opportunity. Who knows, you may find yourself ahead of the game. (Not trying to tell anyone what to do here, but I have taken several continuing education courses myself at our local community college. The last course I took was in a field which I had experience, I just wanted to "brush up" a little. Didn't learn that much, but enjoyed the camaraderie with a bunch of old geezers like myself.)
