Hi I got a 20 year old cheap 8 ton here, from a company i used to sell jobber tractor parts for. sounds like that was a quality jack in those days. The plug fell apart on that. But i got one of those 600 piece," half the rubber wire grommets don't fit anything" kits. I found a softer rubber one with no hole in that fits my jack fill hole. it works perfect and if i mess it up I got 50 more L.O.L. The jack before that had a thread tapped in the hole and a short bolt and fiber washer on it, when that plug got lost on a job and the oil was leaking out, i don't remember that not working right after, it got the thread bent on the extension in the end so it was scrapped. Regards Robert
