A few years ago I threw in the towel and closed my shop. I still wrench for a living but I don't get my old tractor fix very often anymore. I had a tractor on the dyno the other day and had a thought. We are always looking for extra work in the summer so why not give a good service and have some fun. Located in Marshfield, WI, we have a PTO dyno that we've decided to put to good use for our antique tractor pulling friends. It's 540 with a pulse damper for the 2 cylinder guys. I run it myself with experience with Marvel and Zenith carburetors, mag and distributors. As a former puller, tuning for that hidden power is no issue. The labor rate is 85 an hour and most dyno runs without tuning can be done in roughly 15 minutes. If timing or fuel needs adjustment, it seldom takes more than 45 minutes or so. Of course if there needs to be jet changes or diagnosis of very low power, it takes a bit more time. I'd like to get this service out there as a lot have forgotten us antique tractor lovers. Give us a ring at 715-387-1106.

It wasn't to show off my restoration skills (though I had tried my hand at a couple of old motorcycles in my teens and if I recall correctly, those old motorcycles were sold in boxes about one quarter finished). It wasn't to relive memories of Grampa, Dad or myself out on the back 40 nursing the Farmall pulling too many b
