I lost one on a 10 wheel Haliburton pump truck back in the 80s. They had just replaced an outer bearing on it and must not have put the star lock ring on the nuts. The whole inner axle - axle, brake drum and duals - came loose and walked out about 2' till it bent. I watched it happen in my left mirror. We pulled the axle out, chained up that corner and I drove it back to the crib. It wrecked the banjo so they knocked the truck over the head and used it for parts. Fine with me. It was a nasty old Emoryville IH with a 190 Jimmy in it. Slow, underpowered, loud. Gave me a much newer 4300 to drive.
